I have fond memories of the file-stamped copy of the complaint that I saw as a young lawyer. It was a lawsuit against the bus company and alleged that the plaintiff was walking back to take her seat when the bus diver "negligently and carelessly jerked off."

Such genius should not be lost to history.

This idea occurred to me as I read a post from Popehat which excoriated a brief making silly arguments. As I read the brief, it occurred to me that, if there were a Hall of Fame for bad legal writing, this would make a fitting nominee. At risk of encroaching on Lowering the Bar's territory, I think I might create such a Hall of Fame.

I would welcome nominations.
